Qurbani means sacrifice. During Dhul-Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow, or camel – to reflect Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail for sake of Allah SWT.
Maahad has been undertaking Qurbani / Udhiyya on your behalf since 1994. The sacrificed animals’ meat is distributed to the most in need and in remote villages across Kenya. At Maahad, we ensure that the sacrificed animal meets our Shariah requirements and the meat is distributed in presence of a Maahad member.
